About: The goal of the Student Government Association (SGA) is to act as a group of representatives for the student body of Southern Wake Academy. SGA members will hear concerns made by students and mediate these concerns to the faculty and the administration in an amicable, respectful, and tactful manner. Also, the students of SGA will lead various projects and service work aimed at the betterment of Southern Wake Academy and the surrounding community.
SGA members will promote all Southern Wake Academy events and functions, are primarily in charge of funding and promoting prom, and will promote the selling of yearbooks. Students who are members of SGA are a part of an organization that promotes a positive image of SWA to new students, returning students, and the community.
The positions in Student Government are:
- President (Senior or Jr.)
- Vice President
- Public Relations Committee
- Class Representative
- Honorary Member
