Dan Ralston began a second career in education after retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1998. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Training from Wayland Baptist University. He received his K-12 Special Education certification from Chapman University while pursuing his MA in Special Education. His first teaching experience was a K-8 self-contained setting for students with severe emotional disabilities in Arizona while with the Liberty Elementary School District. After moving to North Carolina in 2007, he continued to work with special needs elementary students in resource and inclusion settings as a Cross Categorical Resource teacher at Fuquay-Varina and Creech Road Elementary schools. He has been married for 37 years and enjoys watching baseball, fishing, and traveling with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
