This year, a student-led group called PALs will be working with 6th grade to help them become better acclimated to middle school life at SWA.
Here is a little information on the group. 9th grade mentors will be chosen during the first weeks of school.
What is PALs for Parents?
PALs is a Peer Assistance and Leadership mentoring program for 6th grade students by High School Freshmen. The PAL mentors will meet with their groups to discuss schedules, goals, and future plans with various activities and discussions. Students will develop a better understanding and guidance in their preparation for middle school with help from the mentors.
When: Every other Monday starting in mid-September from 2:10-2:30. Parents have the option of allowing students to stay until 3:00 for further mentoring. If you are planning on allowing your student to stay until 3:00, please contact Anna Millet at firstname.lastname@example.org
